What I Am Thankful For

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it.

I am thankful for many things. I am thankful for the love and grace of our benevolent Creator, and his Son, Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the air in my lungs, the food on my table, the clothes on my back, the home that keeps me sheltered, warm, and dry. I am thankful for my fur babies, for my husband, my family, and my friends who love me. I am thankful for every blessing the Lord has given me, including the ones I don’t know about yet. I am thankful He created me, loves me, provides for me, woke me up, chose me, and drew me back to Him. I am thankful for His love, grace, peace, mercy, kindness, faithfulness, and protection. I am thankful he is steadfast and ever unchanging. I am thankful that He sent His Son to us. I am thankful that Jesus willingly died in our place so that His blood would pay the price for our sins. I am thankful He tore the veil so that I may come before the throne of heaven. I am thankful for the promise of salvation. I am thankful for His victory over death by rising again and ascending to heaven where He is seated in glory at the right hand of the Father. I am thankful for the gift of the Holy Spirit, and to feel His fire in my heart and throughout my chest. I am thankful for the living heart of flesh that He gave me. I am thankful for His word, His example, and His beauty. I am thankful for every kind word He says to me, for His touch and embrace, and for our close, special, and intimate relationship. I am thankful for everything he has done for me, and for everything he will do for me in the future. I am thankful He called me to serve. I am thankful that He hears and answers my prayers. I am thankful that He has molded and shaped me into who I am, and that he has placed us here at this exact moment in time to watch, and bear witness to the things that must come to pass, and to see Him return in all his Glory. I am thankful for every day He grants me. I am grateful for every trial, heartbreak, sorrow, and infirmity I have faced because He has used them all to guide me, teach me, nurture me, mold me, shape me, and bring me to where I am. I am thankful for all the times He intervened and saved me from danger and death. I am thankful that He gave me strength to make it through my trials. I am thankful that he gave me a repentant heart, and the eyes to see, the ears to hear, and the heart to receive the truth. I know that I am blessed through His grace, and I am eternally grateful.
