2 Timothy 4:3-4 NASB
3 For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires, 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
We live in the times of itching ears that Paul wrote would come to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:3-4.
Easy believism is everywhere.
Denying yourself, taking up your cross, and following after Jesus? Not allowed.
Pursuing holiness and God’s righteousness and being different from the world? You’re preaching a heretical works based salvation that is not the gospel, twisting scripture and taking it out of context, and leading people to hell.
Being a disciple of Jesus Christ, learning to be like Him? Entirely optional.
I know full well I’m not perfect and that I have opportunities. I also know I’m not better than or superior to anyone else.
But I also know that most of what I see being taught online is in direct contradiction of what scripture actually says.
Be very careful of who you listen to.
