The I'm A Good Person Argument Won't Save You

The "I'm a good person" argument is NOT going to be sufficient enough to gain entrance to heaven. And if "but I'm a good person!" is your justification argument when you stand in front of Jesus Christ at judgment you're going to be gravely disappointed that the argument is not going to hold up.
Here's a bit of hard truth for you: there is no one who is good. Even Jesus said it when he was asked how to obtain eternal life.
Matthew 19:16-17 KJV
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Paul takes it even further by citing numerous examples of scripture in his letter to the Romans.
Romans 3:9-18 KJV
9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known: 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
The above passage quotes Psalm 14:1-3, Psalm 53:1-3, Ecclesiastes 7:20, Psalm 5:9, Psalm 140:3, Psalm 10:7, Isaiah 59:7-8, and Psalm 36:1.
Beloved, please stop lying to yourself. Please stop trying to obtain righteousness on your own, because there is nothing you can do on your own to be counted as righteous.
The only way to obtain righteousness in God's eyes is to believe in your heart that Jesus did it all for us when He lived a perfect life of no sin, fulfilling the law God had given that no man was able to fulfill, and died on the cross for us to pay the price of our sins. And you have to believe that He was resurrected on the third day.
Jesus defeated sin, and He defeated death. And through our faith in Him we become overcomers in Him. HALLELUJAH!
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
