Sin Is A Terminal Illness
5/15/2023
Please don’t be deluded into the thought or mindset that you have to get your life right before you can approach Jesus Christ to ask for forgiveness of your sin and to be saved. You can’t do it on your own, and if you wait you’ll keep putting off forever the most important decision you need to make right now for your eternal future, until you find that it’s too late and time has run out for you to choose Him.
The only way your life can be made right is through the guidance of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit that indwells in you through Jesus’ supernatural grace and power. Jesus will help you to break addictions, to break free of demonic strongholds, and to fight the temptation to sin by giving you discipline, restraint, and self-control through the power of the Holy Spirit. He will heal you of your brokenness, He will heal your broken heart, He will change you, and He will transform you.
Sin is a terminal illness, and Jesus is the only cure. He died on the cross for our sins so that we may be saved.
Please don’t wait any longer. You are never guaranteed to take your next breath.
Romans 3:23 KJV
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 6:23 KJV
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
What this world refuses to realize is that it is evil, and it is filled with evil. Our own hearts are wicked and evil.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 KJV
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
People who have not surrendered their lives to Jesus are outside of God’s will, and are therefore also evil, no matter how many good works they do. I’m sorry if this isn’t what you want to hear, but it is the truth. It is also the truth that if you reject Him your eternal future will be hell, which is a very real place, and you will be separated from Him for eternity with no hope of escape.
Luke 13:23-27 KJV
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
You can’t buy your way into heaven. Your works won’t get you there. Your church won’t get you there. Your pastor won’t get you there. Your parents, family, friends, and acquantances won’t get you there. Only by having a surrendered, trusting, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ will get you into heaven.
John 10:9 KJV
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
John 14:6 KJV
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Ephesians 2:8 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Romans 10:9-10 KJV
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
John 3:16-21 KJV
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
