2 Timothy 3:1-5
But understand this, that in the last days there will be times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.
We don’t know when Jesus will return for the rapture, or when he will return with his army to defeat the evil in this Earth, but I know I see a lot of what is described in this verse above, even in myself.
I challenge us all to look within ourselves, to really get to know ourselves, and to build or renew our relationship with Jesus. Pray every day. Pray for others before you pray for yourself. Love your enemies and your allies. Give to others if you can. Aim to serve God in serving others. Treat everyone the way you yourself would want to be treated. Look for the good in people and in situations rather than the bad. Give the glory to God. Be humble. Have faith in Jesus and in God, for through God everything is possible. Live with the spirit of love, for love makes everything better, and God is love.
God loves us so much that he sent his only Son to us, so that he could die on the cross in order to forgive us for our sins. This was no small feat on Jesus’s part, for he suffered greatly for us, yet he did it willingly because of his love for us. Jesus knew that his fate was to suffer and die for us, yet he embraced that fate with open arms instead of giving in to temptation and sin, and running away. Let that sink in.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I wish you light, love, and laughter, and may God bless you and keep you safe.
Amen.
***A brief addition. I found this article on Breitbart’s website. The new head chaplain of Harvard is an atheist.
The bible says that one of the signs of the end times is that people will scoff at and mock God.
