Heavenly Father,
I hold You in all reverence, for there is none like You. My heart is glad of You. My soul rejoices in You. My voice gives thanks to You. My words give praise to You. My spirit yearns for You. You are my Redeemer, my Salvation, my tower, my rock, my fortress, my foundation, my inspiration, my Lord, my Savior, my Father, and my friend. You alone command Heaven and Earth. Only You can command the forces of nature, walk on water, raise the dead, turn water into wine, feed thousands with a few loaves of bread and a couple of fish, move mountains, forgive sins, and save souls. Though You are slow to anger, Your wrath is a tempest and Your judgment is to be feared. But you are also a God of such grace, compassion, forgiveness, mercy, and love. So great is Your love that you sent Your only begotten Son, Jesus, to teach us, and to form a New Testament with us; to die on the cross so that His blood would pay for and save us from our sins. Then You resurrected him three days later, and gave him a throne in Heaven at Your right hand. You are my Creator, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, and You alone decide if my next breath will be my last.
Lord, I come before You boldly as Your Word instructs us to do, but I also come to You with a humble spirit, and I bow before Your feet. I repent of my many sins, and I surrender my will and control of my life to You. I ask for Your forgiveness of my past and future sins, for as Your Word says, there is no man alive without sin. I lay my life, my worries, my fears, my anxiety, my cares, my desires, and my soul in Your hands. Let Your will be done before mine. Lead me on the straight and narrow path that is pleasing to You so that I may bear good fruit for You, and so that I may enter Heaven through the narrow gate that few find and reside with You in eternity. If it pleases You then please increase Your power and presence within me, and please reveal the Holy Spirit to me in greater ways. Please grant me wisdom, discernment, and understanding of Your Word and Instruction in Your ways. Please purge any unclean or impure thoughts, desires, emotions, unforgiveness, and motives from my heart and my mind. Please give me a living heart of flesh in place of a heart of stone so that my faith in You can grow each day from a tiny mustard seed into a boundless and childlike faith. Your Word says that if I draw near to You that You will draw near to me, so please draw near to me Lord. Please fill my heart with devotion to You, with a fire and a hunger for You, and with love, grace, forgiveness, and compassion. Please help me to always put You first, to always make time for You, to study Your Word daily, and to never take You for granted. Please let me always be pleasing to You so that You can delight in me. Please keep me from temptation, and deliver me from evil. I ask to be surrounded by Your love, grace, and divine protection, and I also ask this of my family, my friends, and my home.
Lord, let me be Your faithful servant, and may Your words speak through me. May Your light shine on me and through me for all to see. I thank You Lord for loving me, for guiding me, for protecting me, and for providing my every need. I thank You for the trials I have endured, as You have used them to mold me into who I am, and have led me into Your loving embrace. I thank You for giving me a simple life, and I thank You for allowing me to live at this present time even though these times are dark, tumultuous, and filled with great evil. I love You Lord with all of my heart, mind, body, and soul. You are worthy to be praised, and I glorify You, for I know that without You I am lost. Without You I have nothing. Without You I am wretched, and without You I am naked. You are the shining light in the darkness, and You are forever faithful and unchanging. With You surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.
Lord, I pray that You will give shelter to the homeless, food and drink to the hungry, light to those who are in darkness, hope to those who are in despair, healing to those who are sick and broken hearted, comfort to those who are grieving, and direction to those who are lost. I pray that every soul on Earth will come to know You as I have come to know You. I pray that You will bring the same peace that You have given me to every man, woman, and child. I pray that we will repent, cease our wicked ways, and turn back to You and Your glory. We have failed You, Lord, and it grieves my heart.
Lord, please fill us and surround us with Your grace and love. Please teach us to be kind again. Please teach us how to love each other again, to have compassion again, to serve others, and how to forgive. Please keep us from being complacent, and please teach us how to be righteous again in Your eyes. Please treat our eyes with salve so that we can awaken and see the truth of this world. Please remove the blockages in our ears so that we may hear the truth amongst the lies. Please give us the wisdom and discernment we need to prevent us from being deceived by the enemy who cares not for us or our well being. Please pour Your Holy Spirit into us and throughout the world so that all of Your creation will know You and return to You.
Father, those who are truly devoted to You, and who study Your Word diligently know that the hour of Your return is almost upon us. We are watching and waiting eagerly for You, as Your word says that no one will know the hour of Your return; that You will come like a thief in the night. I pray that You will find me to be worthy, and that You will call me up to Heaven to join You and serve You for all eternity. I wait for Your return eagerly, with bated breath. I pray that You will wash my garments so that they are as pure and white as freshly fallen snow. I pray that my lamp will burn brightly for You so that You will see me and take me as Your bride. I pray that You have prepared a room for me in Your father’s mansion. I don’t need riches, Lord, for just to know You and be with You in Heaven is enough for me.
Lord, if I ever do something that displeases You, I pray that You will make it known to me and correct me. I pray that we will have a deep and intimate relationship, and that I will be able to hear You speaking to my heart. If there is anything You wish to say to me or to show me, then I am willing to see or hear it. I pray that You will also share with me any cares, desires, fears, or frustrations that You wish to share. I pray that You will share any secrets or mysteries that You want to share with me. I pray that You will provide me with words of encouragement and guidance, and I pray that our relationship will be more about You and less about me.
Lord, thank You for everything You have done and will do for me. I thank You for all the blessings You have given me, both known and unknown. I thank You for my family, my friends, my home, the food on my table, and my finances. I thank You for hearing and answering my prayers. My heart is filled with gratitude and praise for You, and I give great glory to Your name. Anything I do or accomplish is solely for Your glory. My life is not about me, but rather it is about You. You are the first and the last, the Alpha and the Omega. There is nothing that You do not see, and nothing that You do not know. I love You completely, Lord, and it is in the blessed and mighty name of Jesus Christ that I pray.
