The only thing that makes it hard to have a relationship with Jesus is ourselves. God made it so simple: to believe and to have faith, yet we make it so much harder.
We let pride, selfishness, and fear get in the way of having a relationship with Jesus. We let unbelief get in the way. We let the world get in the way.
We convince ourselves in ignorance that there is no way God will forgive us. And so we try to create our own righteousness when all we need to do is humble ourselves and be still and know that He is God!
Psalm 46:10 KJV
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
We can never truly comprehend how much Jesus and the Father love us. All God wants us to do is to believe in Him, and trust Him to take care of it all for us.
We judge ourselves when it is actually Jesus who is the judge.
Jesus paid the price for us on the cross so that through Him we may be saved. He died so that we may live. His precious blood was shed so that the price for our sins is paid in full. He suffered so that we may be glad and rejoice.
