Sunday mini Sermon.

Fruits of the Spirit by Gods Power

What is a fruit? In a botanical sense, a fruit is the ripened ovary of a flowering plant, and inside of it are seeds to make more fruit. Cool huh!

The Fruit of the Spirit grow through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

It is Gods Spirit that gives you power to produce the fruits of the Spirit.

Try try try all you want to produce fruit through commentaries, Mens or Womens Bible studies & such. Your efforts are in vain. It is not until you repent (so the Lord can trim your branch to the vine), that your able to receive the fertilizer

The initial filling of the Spirit and the Baptism of the Spirit are not biblically the same thing. This is seen by the promise of Jesus which He made shortly before His ascension into heaven. John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:5) Jesus specifically told His saved disciples that they would be baptized later with the Holy Spirit in just a few days as He would come upon them.

After the required Baptism, there are continual fillings of the Spirit. But as Johnathan Edwards and even Spurgeon experienced, there must be a overwhelming touch or enduement from God the Holy Spirit. Spurgeon said that if you don’t experience or feel it (like electricity he said) then you never got it. You can fill your head with every Pastors self education book in all of the world, but your heart has not been charged with Gods Spirit and power.

Education, intelligence does not equate to Gods Power. Education has you say “I’ve got this”. The Baptism of the Spirit of God has you first say “I’m a sinner”, then admit that you don’t “have this” and then ask for Gods Baptism of Power to change & produce fruit. True biblical fruit.

It is after you get the (required by Jesus) Baptism of the Holy Spirit, that we do then need a fresh daily fresh filling of the Spirit of God. “And do not get drunk with wine, which is debauchery, but be filled by the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) The command given here is for a repeated filling of the Holy Spirit – All Christians get a glass of water of the Spirit at salvation. Even Paul and the Disciples did (documented). It’s wonderful. But the full ocean of the Holy Spirits power comes “upon” you as you ask and receive the Baptism of God.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit not only gives power, but also victory to produce God's character in the fruits of the Spirit.

I get so distraught seeing Christian men I know try so hard in their flesh to produce the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

God desires for us to ask and receive His power to produce these qualities in our lives. Christians are told to walk in the Spirit, but it is a stumbling path unless God has lifted you off the Rocky path with His Baptism of power.

So you may be stubborn and say “I’m not going to ask for anything. I’m smart”.

Well then what about what Jesus said? “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts”.

Do you ask God for His help? Do you ask Jesus when your sick to heal you?

But you won’t ask God for the one thing He said to ask for?

Im going ask you a question. Are you honestly saved? I ask because I wonder if why you won’t do what Jesus says to do, is because you don’t want Gods Spirit controlling you?

Maybe part of it is that you don’t want to repent. God won’t fill a dirty cup.

Is God playing a game by telling you to ask, then showing you how Paul got Baptized (Acts 9) or how Peter and John came to help Philip out in Acts 8:15-17, or the Disciples (Acts 19) ?

Why would your Lord and Savior try to trick you?

Is that what you believe that Jesus would do?

The Fruits of the Spirit is the outworking of the nature of Christ by the power of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit upon you. These are the qualities that most adequately display the work and presence of God in the Christians life. Do you understand?

John the Baptist said, “I baptize you with water but He (Jesus) will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” Mark 1:8. Salvation & water Baptism are only partial obedience to what Jesus said to do: “Gathering them together, He commanded them (born again/saved & Water Baptized Disciples) not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me;

Paul said to the Disciples who were born again/saved & water baptized He said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit…?” And they said to him, “No, we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”

We say “I’m saved, water baptized and educated”. But Jesus said to His Disciples “you will (hasn’t happened yet to them) receive power when (hasn’t happened yet to them) the Holy Spirit has come upon (not educated about) you.”

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is an experience apart from Salvation. If it isn’t, then how would the Disciples have even known it happened to them later?

Speaking of later, in Acts 9, Saul believes in Jesus. He even talks with him. Then days later he gets hands layed on him for the Baptism of God. He then becomes Paul.

Some conservative legalist minded Christians, especially those of seminary schooling, won’t release themselves to humbly ask for the Baptism of God.

I am convinced that deep down they continue to think that they have super value with their education & intelligence, and don’t need the God who Baptizes.

They are very pious, maybe good dressed, super educated, and in their minds they can’t fathom, can’t imagine & have no desire to ask for another Spirit to posses them. That very much like their own control with their own human spirit & education.

I will fight this battle to confront this refusing of Gods own words - until I die. I rest my belief in the Word of God.

When I see Christian men or women at Church or on the street with child like behavior and no power, I know without a doubt “theres a Christian who never asked God, not for a filling, but instead never asked for the Baptism.”Ohh not just the glass of water Saint, but the full ocean of God.

When a guy at your Church gets Saved, do you stop saving people because this guy farted after he prayed?

Yet when you hear of a person who got the Baptism and spoke in tongues - well you say “I hate that, so lets get rid of the giver of all Gifts who is God the Holy Spirit.”Stupid. So now you give up the gift of Teaching, Encouragement, Mercy, Admin and Helps. So you don’t like tongue because of what Benny Hinn did when he healed a Toyota. Whatever, but don’t use that as a fart to keep you from asking for the Promise of God the Father sent by God the Son of God the Holy Spirit.

If you despise and get rid of teaching or receiving of God the Spirit, you now also lose the power that is needed to produce the fruit of the Spirit.

Dumb.

Be a wise follower of Jesus and have a acceptance of His Holy Bible in which it says every Christian must ask & receive the Baptism of God the Holy Spirit.

No Baptism - very little to no Fruit and no seeds to yield a Harvest.

PS- are you seriously prepared to tell God that He & His Word is wrong? SMH
