Many people think they are secure in their eternal future when they actually aren’t. Many are going to have a painful and agonizing reality check.

Anyone who thinks that they’re a child of God who has not repented deeply of their sin has some serious evaluation to do. Honestly, we all do.

Jesus said not everyone who calls Him Lord will enter into the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 7:21-23). He told the parable of the 10 virgins that resulted in 5 virgins being shut out from the wedding because they didn’t being enough oil and had to go buy some, and while they were away the bridegroom came and took the five virgins that did bring enough oil with him (Matthew 25:1-13). He said that those who are lukewarm He will spue out of His mouth (Revelation 3:14-22). This should terrify people. It should keep them awake at night.

We need more people who are willing to be honest and tell the hard truth.

Psalm 51 is a good start for what repentance should look like.
