Lord we’re sorry for the times we haven’t honoured your sacrifice. With a deep sense of sorrow we pray to express our anguish. We pray we can better live in the Spirit having learnt from our mistakes. You made the ultimate sacrifice of your life and we pray to uphold the love that led you to give your life to save ours.
John 13:34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
Lord tonight we pray in remembrance of all of the people who have known you better than most of us because they too given their flesh to save the lives of another. We pray we’ll be able to love as they love us, their future generations, in honour to their sacrifices.

Lord without the lessons you have given us, we wouldn’t understand what it means to love. Our world today is bound up in self absorption. As our ancestors have known, and as did you, the only thing that counts as good work is that which we do for another. We pray for our ancestors to be washed clean by the blood of Christ to wait for us in eternity.
Philippians 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
We give thanks first to you our Lord, for showing us that the flesh is fleeting, but the Spirit endures. In our Spirit we have the power to use our flesh to achieve great things. We pray to serve the world as you showed our forefathers to do, and who without question gave their flesh so that we may have life.
