True salvation leads to reformation, repentance, and change; a changed heart, a changed mind, a chnged focus, a changed life. When you truly become saved by Jesus Christ, you become a new creation in Him, and your identity is in Him. He begins to be the one you live to please above all others.
People will tell you that you have changed, and some of them won’t be very happy about it, because you’ve become one of God’s peculiar people that the world doesnmy understand; in the world, but not of the world.
You have to become born again, and that can only be done by God’s grace and power at the moment you truly believe Jesus died on the cross for your sins and you call upon Him to forgive and save you.
Don’t be afraid! It is the most amazing transformation to experience.
John 3:3
3 Jesus responded and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 3:16-21
16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. 18 The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed. 21 But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.”
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
