I grabbed this graphic from someone on X (formerly Twitter). I cannot begin to tell you how much I disagree with this. Social media, Twitter included, Facebook included, is FILLED with people who don't teach the full truth.
I have read the scripture many times, and the more I do, the more I'm convinced that with the salvation process comes the expectation that you will become a disciple of Jesus Christ, that you will go out into the world and spread the message of Him however you can, and that you will seek to make major changes in your life so that you are pleasing Him. Why else would He have told us to count the cost of following Him in Luke 14? Why else would He have told us that if anyone would follow Him they are to deny themselves and take up their cross? I'm of the solid opinion that a believe is never meant to stay a baby Christian forever, only consuming the spiritual milk; rather, we are intended to always continue to grow in Christ as we go through the process of sanctification, as we graduate to spiritual meat.
BE CAREFUL WHO YOU LISTEN TO AND WHO YOU FOLLOW. TEST EVERY SPIRIT. PRAY FOR DISCERNMENT, UNDERSTANDING, AND THE CORRECT INTERPRETATION OF THE WORD.
I cannot stress this enough.
