We all generally know of the concept of good and evil. Evil is something or someone that is wicked or immoral. Good is someone or something that is beneficial, excellent, or virtuous.
We all generally know of dark and light. Dark can also be associated with evil, while light can be associated with good.
Evil comes in many forms, and in many people. One of the best known wicked people in the bible is a woman named Jezebel.
Revelation 2:20 KJV
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Jezebel was Queen of Israel, married to King Ahab. She led Israel away from worshipping God towards worshipping a pagan god named baal. She persecuted and killed God's prophets, and did great evil in God's eyes.
As punishment, God killed off Ahab and his family line, and He established a man named Jehu as king in his place. Jehu cleaned up the mess of Israel worshipping false gods by slaughtering all the worshippers of baal. And through Jehu's influence Jezebel was killed by being thrown out of a window.
Jehu did what was right in God's eyes and he was blessed by Him, but he committed a great sin in that he continued to worship an idol instead of God, a golden calf, that a prior king had made and caused 10 of the tribes of Israel to sin.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 KJV
9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Evil still exists today, and it is becoming more obvious with each passing day. Darkness is and has been increasing in this world. With that darkness, there is a growing push-back movement against it. Those who are watching with a biblical world view are warning that the judgment of the world foretold in the book of Revelation is looming on the horizon. They see that prophecy is being fulfilled now. They see no hope for this world, and I share this belief.
